December 17: The Amherst Regional High School Wind Ensemble with director Brian Messier gave the American premiere of 'Okaoka', a work commissioned by Jim Cochran and published by C. Alan Publications.
December 9: The University High School Wind Ensemble under the baton of Philip Obado gave its premiere of 'Rondorlando'. This was a strong performance which received a warm response from the large audience. This group is one of the commissioning bands for this piece, which was recently published by Subito Music Corporation.
December 5: 8.00pm at the Schlesinger Center in Alexandria, VA, The Alexandria Band directed by Robert Petrella performed the world premiere of 'Dare to Hope', a work they commissioned to honour Dr. Petrella's founding of and thirty year leadership of the band. I was present at this fine performance and can truthfully say the response from the almost capacity audience was one of the warmest I have received.
November 30: 6.00pm at evensong, the choir of St. Paul's Anglican Cathedral, Dunedin, with their choral David Burchell at the organ presented their second performance of 'The Water of Life', As with the last this was a sccessful and well received interpretation.
November 6: At 7:30pm in First United Methodist Church, Winter Park, the UCF Choirs under the direction of David Brunner give the Florida premiere of 'And I Saw The River' from 'O Fragile Human' (postponed)
October 30: At 7:pm the Winter Park High School Wind Ensemble directed by Joel Moody gave a fine and warmly received performance of 'Rondorlando'. This group is one of the commissioning bands for 'Rondorlando' available from Subito Music Corporation.
October 7: John Carmichael led the University of Southern Florida Wind Ensemble in a passionate and eloquent performance of 'L'homme armé: Variations'in front of a large and enthusiastic audience at the USF Theatre in Tampa FL.
September 18: In St Mary’s Church, Portsea, England, the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines performed 'Resonance' in the opening concert of their 2008-2009 season entitled The Last Night of the Proms. Timothy Reynish introduced the work with a series of musical examples and the audience of 400 was very enthusiastic.
August 9: In Wanganui, New Zealand, the Schola Sacra Choir, directed by Roy Tankersley will give 'Walking On My Feet' from 'To The Horizon' its third performance this year - details to follow.
July 1: In Manchester, England, Timothy Reynish directed the renowned Royal Northern College of Music Wind Ensemble in 'Resonance' - to a wonderfully warm audience reception.
June 25: Wednesday, 4.30pm, in the Patricia Corbett Theatre of the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music (Cincinnati, OH) as part of the International Tuba and Euphonium Conference, UCF professor Gail Robertson on euphonium with Stacy Baker from Morehead University on tuba gave an acclaimed World premiere of 'Eola Stroll', a work they commissioned this year.
June 15: At 7.30 p.m. in the Esplanade Concert Hall in Singapore, Timothy Reynish will direct the Philharmonic Winds and Singers from the Serangoon Junior College Choir, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Alumni Choir, NJ Chorale and Common Voices in a Singapore premiere of 'U Trau' - "a wild success!" (Tim Reynish).
May 24: In Wanganui, the Schola Sacra Choir, directed by Roy Tankersley again performed 'Walking On My Feet' from 'To The Horizon' as part of the national 'Classic Sing' competition.
May 18: Sunday at 3pm in the auditorium of Scott County High School in Georgetown, Kentucky, The Scott County High School Symphonic Winds directed by Tom Brawner gave 'Rondorlando' its Kentucky Premiere. Tom Brawner reports that both band and audience loved the piece. This group is one of the commissioning bands for 'Rondorlando'. It is published by Subito Music Corporation.
April 25: Friday, Anzac Day at 7.30pm in a concert at Christ Church, Wanganui, the Schola Sacra Choir, directed by Roy Tankersley performed 'Walking On My Feet' from 'To The Horizon' to a large and appreciative audience.
April 10: Philip Obado, will direct the University High School Symphonic Band of Orlando in their premiere of 'Rondorlando' on April 10, as part of the University of Florida Concert Band Invitational at the University Auditorium in Gainesville, FL. (postponed)
March 29: At 7.30 in the MacMillan Theatre, University of Toronto, ON, Canada The University of Toronto Wind Ensemble directed by Gillian MacKay with pianist Henri-Paul Sicsic gave a convincing Ontario premiere to 'Renascence'.

At evensong on Palm Sunday, the choir of St. Paul's Anglican Cathedral, Dunedin, under David Burchell presented the second and third New Zealand performances of 'Reflection On Palm Sunday' from 'O Fragile Human'.
March 14: In a midday concert at St. Paul's Anglican Cathedral, Dunedin, the Cathedral choir under David Burchell gave a critically acclaimed New Zealand premiere of 'Reflection On Palm Sunday' along with a performance of 'And I Saw The River' (also receiving high praise from the Dunedin critic) both from 'O Fragile Human'.

February 23: At the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam, BC, Canada The Pacific Symphonic Wind Ensemble directed by Marc Crompton with pianist Jane Hayes gave 'Renascence' an expressive and accomplished World premiere.
February 16: At 1pm the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra was directed by Hamish McKeich in a warmly received performance of 'Hikurangi Sunrise' as part of the 10th anniversary celebrations for Te Papa Tongarewa, the National Museum of New Zealand.
February 13: At 7:30 p.m. in Cobb Great Hall, Wharton Center in East Lansing, MI, The Michigan State University Concert Band directed by Isaiah Odajima performed 'Resonance'. This fine performance was greeted with rousing applause.
January 19, 2008: 7:00 PM at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Oviedo, the Orlando Concert Band directed by Richard Greenwood gave 'Rondorlando' a spirited and convincing world premiere. This was greeted with a standing ovation from the capacity audience of around 1300. 'Rondorlando' was commissioned by 10 mainly Central Florida symphonic bands and ensembles. The OCB also premiered an arrangement commissioned by Richard Greenwood of Roger and Hammerstein's 'You'll Never Walk Alone', again to an appreciative audience response. Soprano JoAnne Stephenson was the very expressive and accomplished soloist.
December 28, 2007 - January 10, 2008: Conductor Jean Sturm featured the 'Songs of Samoa' in his choral workshops with À Coeur Joie in Alsace in France.
December 23: At 6pm, as part of the Christmas Carol service in St. Paul's Anglican Cathedral, Dunedin, New Zealand, the Cathedral choir under David Burchell successfully performed 'Summer Carol'.
December 18: Tuesday, in three separate appearances at the Contemporary Resort of Walt Disney World, Orlando.
December 11 and 12: Thursday and Friday at the 12th Annual Patriot Showcase at Lake Brantley High School, Orlando.
At these times and venues the Lake Brantley High School Patriot Singers, directed by Carlton Kilpatrick, with Steve Dunn as baritone soloist and Aryan Jazajeri on piano, performed
'My Florida Home', and explained its significance to the audience. This song is one of three finalists in the FMEA competition to find a new state song for Florida.

Washington Men's Camerata directed by Frank Albinder performed my arrangement of 'I'm Spending Hanukkah in Santa Monica', commissioned by the Camerata with the blessing of Tom Lehrer. The December 9 performance - the World premiere - was greeted with delighted applause as were the other performances.
December 12: Announcement that 'My Florida Home' is one of three finalists in the FMEA competition to find a new State song for Florida. December: Release from Atoll Records of the CD 'A Voice Came From Heaven' from Graduate Choir directed by Terence Maskell and featuring four songs from 'To The Horizon' and 'Songs of Samoa'.
October 14: The Orlando Chorale directed by Gregory Ruffer together with the Lake Brantley High School Patriot Singers with baritone soloist is Gregory Le Fils and pianist Absalon Figueroa performed the World premiere of 'My Florida Home' to a warm response from the large audience.
October 13: At 6.30pm in Elder Hall in Adelaide, Australia the Elder Conservatorium Wind Orchestra directed by Robert Hower performed 'Resonance'
September: Release of the CD 'Reflections' from Klavier Records featuring 'Aue!' performed by the Philharmonia à Vent directed by John Boyd. More Information from Clark McAlister of Klavier Music Productions.

July 14: The finale of the 16th conference of the World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles, (WASBE) in Killarney, Ireland included an acclaimed performance of 'Resonance' by the International Youth Wind Orchestra conducted by Gerhard Markson. June 30: Saturday at 7.30pm Mark Heron directed the Scottish National Wind Orchestra in the Scottish premiere of 'Resonance' at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland, as part of the BABSWE International Conference of Wind Music. It earned enthusiastic applause from the large audience.
June 29: In a programme entitled "Dream With Me" in Church of the Epiphany - 1317 G St NW, Washington, DC, the choral group 18th Street Singers directed by Benjamin Olinsky performed 'Pusi Nofo' from 'Songs of Samoa' "The song was a big hit!" (Wuryati Morris)
May 5: The Woodley Ensemble under Frank Albinder in a programme titled "Musical Madness", in St. Columba's Episcopal Church Washington, DC at 8:00 pm performed 'The Magpies' and 'To LHB' from 'To The Horizon' from 'Nobody' and 'I Hold Your Hand In Mine'. A warm reception and an excellent review in the Washington Post.
April 20: The Metropolitan State College Wind Ensemble under director David Kish, with Hsing-ay Hsu, guest pianist gave an intense and committed WORLD PREMIERE performance of the first movement of 'Renascence'. This performance took place as part of the Metro State Wind Band Celebration. The huge audience in King Center Concert Hall, Denver gave the work an enthusiastic reception.
April 2007: Performance of 'U Trau' in Sheffield, UK: the combined forces of the bands and choirs of the universities of Sheffield and Leeds under the baton of Anthony Houghton - details to follow. (Postponed till April 2008)
March 23: As part of the 'Dunedin Heritage Festival' the choir of the Anglican Cathedral of St. Paul under the direction of organist David Burchell performed 'The Water of Life', which was "very warmly received by choir and audience alike".
March 17: In a concert in conjunction with the RSPB called 'Wingbeats' in St. Mary's Church, Saffron Walden, Essex, England, The Saffron Walden Choral Society directed by Janet Wheeler performed 'The Magpies' from 'To The Horizon'."[Your piece] was very effective... it had a terrific reaction from the audience".
March 11: The Orlando Chorale directed by Gregory Ruffer gave a 5th Anniversary celebration concert at the First United Methodist Church of Orlando. Included were a moving account of 'A Voice From Heaven' from 'O Fragile Human' and a witty performance of 'I Hold Your Hand In Mine' offered to a sizable and very appreciative audience.
February 11: At 4:00 pm at City Arts Factory, Orlando FL, The Orlando Chamber Singers directed by Gregory Ruffer performed a Valentine's day concert titled 'Sing Me to Heaven' which included an excellent performance of 'I Hold Your Hand In Mine'.
February 1: In the Corbett Auditorium of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, in Cincinnati, OH, the Wind Symphony directed by Rodney Winther gave an intense and highly effective performance of 'L'homme armé: Variations for Wind Ensemble'.

25th February: At the CBDNA Southern region Conference at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee, Timothy Reynish presented the Tennessee premiere of 'L'homme armé: Variations for Wind Ensemble' to a very warm reception.
February 23: 8:15 pm Ford Hall, the Ithaca College Concert Band directed by Mark Fonder will present the US PREMIERE of 'Okaoka', a work jointly commissioned by Jim Cochran and Cort McClaren and published by C. Alan Publications. (Concert postponed)
February 21: 8:15 pm Ford Hall, the Ithaca College Wind Ensemble directed by Timothy Reynish will present the WORLD PREMIERE of 'Resonance' a work commissioned by Timothy Reynish. (Concert postponed till April).
February 18: At the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Eastern Division Convention (Feb. 15-18) at the Hilton New York in New York City, KC Conlan included 'Two Samoan Folksongs' in the readings for the children's choir section. KC has directed the Hampshire Choral Society Young People's Chorus in many performances of this music. More information from KC Conlan.

February 7: In the Newman Center at the University of Denver in Denver CO the Lamont Symphony Orchestra gave the US PREMIERE of 'Chaconne'. This effective and warmly received performance was directed by Jonathan Andrew Govias; visiting Portuguese conductor Mario Mateus had to withdraw at the last minute owing to a domestic incident. October 5 - November 1: In the Sala della Porta Sant'Agostino in the city of Bergamo, throughout a highly successful exhibition of paintings and drawings by distinguished North Italian artist Ernesto Coter entitled 'Landfall', recordings of orchestral chamber and choral music of Christopher Marshall were played. This included the cycle 'Destinations', settings of words by Robert Louis Stevenson, the first song of which lent its title to the exhibition.

March 16: 7.30pm, Sounds Wicked directed by Andrew MacMillan with mezzo-soprano Michelle Hackney performed 'Tangi'. This was the third performance by this choir which commissioned the work. March 15: At Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, Prof. William Kuhn will direct the Concordia Concert Band in ‘Aue!’.at 7:30 p.m. in Weller Auditorium on Concordia's Campus. March 6: David McCormick directed the City Singers (a community Children's choir from Richmond, Virginia) in a very well recived 40-minute program which included 'Pusi Nofo' from 'Two Samoan Folksongs' on 6 March at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church. On March 21 this program will be repeated at Brandermill Woods Retirement Community. On 27 April both songs will feature at a big event sponsored by the Asian American Society of Richmond. March 5: The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra under Sean O'Boyle recorded 'Chaconne' for inclusion on a CD of new American and Australian works produced under the ABC Classics label.

February 27: at 8pm, Musica Sacra under Indra Hughes gave the world premiere of 'Levavi Oculos Meos' in Holy Sepulchre church, Khyber Pass, Auckland. It was very well received.
February 15: Viva Voce conducted by John Rosser included 'I Hold Your Hand In Mine' in their recital in St Andrew's Church, Taupo, as part of the Taupo Arts Festival.

January 28: Prof. Charles Peltz directed the Northern New Jersey Regional Wind Ensemble in a successful and warmly received performance of ‘Aue!’ in the Ramapo High School auditorium in Morristown, New Jersey. For more details contact Prof. Peltz.

December 11: The Crofton Singers of London, conducted by John Pearce gave the UK premiere of 'With Love At Christmas' to a very positive audience response and the same evening performed 'Minoi Minoi' and 'La'u Lupe' at a charity concert in Woodford (NE London), raising approx £500 for Amnesty International! December 2001: For three weeks 'Christmas A Cappella' was the best selling classical CD in New Zealand with impressive sales also in Australia. This recording produced by Atoll is a recording of performances by Musica Sacra under Indra Hughes and features two New Zealand Christmas works including 'Bless This Child' from the 'New Zealand Advent Triptych'. December 5: The Geelong Chorale directed by Rick Prakhoff included 'Jewel Carol' and Summer Carol' in its Christmas programme at St. Paul's Church.

December 2: There was a well received performance‘Aue!’ by the John Antill Youth Band, conducted byStephen Carpenter on at Melbourne Town, Melbourne, Victoria. This concert, before an audience of around 800, formed part of the end of year finale concert by all of the ensembles of the Melbourne Youth Music Council. The North Cheshire Concert Band directed by Mark Heron gave four informed and exciting performances of ‘Aue!’. All were enthusiastically received by large audiences. December 14: Christmas concert. October 15: Launch of 'Hymns For All Seasons', a CD of settings of texts by Jocelyn Marshall, featuring the choirs of St Peter's Anglican Cathedral, Hamilton and Southwell School. From October 1, 2001Hikurangi Sunrise’ has been played on all domestic and international flights of Air New Zealand. The Concert FM recording of the Auckland Town Hall performance by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra under James Judd is the only New Zealand piece featured on the classical channel of the airline's in-flight entertainment.

August 25: At the finale of the New Zealand Secondary Schools Festival in Christchurch, nearly 600 young people conducted by Igelese Ete sang music from ‘Songs of Samoa’.

August 4: Auckland Wind Orchestra under Adrian Raven gave a highly successful performance of ‘Aue!’ to a large audience at the National Band Festival Gala Concert in Palmerston North, New Zealand.

July 1: The premiere of ‘Aue!’ was broadcast on BBC radio. The recording featured Chetham's Wind Orchestra of Manchester under ex-Kiwi John Dickinson.

Leading ensemble San Francisco Choral Artists directed by Magen Solomon presented music from the cycle ‘To The Horizon’. May 4: University of Auckland Music Theatre, Symonds Street, at 2pm, the Auckland Wind Orchestra under Adrian Raven gave the New Zealand premiere of ‘Aue!’.

April 28: New England Conservatory, Boston, USA, at 9.00am, Massachusetts Wind Ensemble under conductor, Michael Mucci gave the US premiere of ‘Aue!’.

April 9: Australian violist Greg McGarity gave a successful performance of ‘Elegy’ at the XXIXth International Viola Congress in Wellington.

7th April: Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, UK, at 8.00pm, Chethams Wind Orchestra, conductor, John Dickinson gave the world premiere of ‘Aue!’. The work was jointly commissioned by over sixty wind ensembles and concert bands worldwide, an initiative by by Timothy Reynish, President-elect of the WASBE.

February 3 and 4: Nelson and Blenheim respectively, soprano Deborah Wai Kapohe with the New Zealand String Quartet gave masterful performances of ‘Fleeting Visions’ to large and appreciative audiences. These events were part of the biennial Adam Festival of Chamber Music.

January 2001: I was a guest of the 46th Annual Summer School of the Australian RSCM to speak about my music and to oversee the premiere of my anthem ‘Blessed’. This piece won the RSCM Australia 2000 Composers’ Contest.

September 13, 2000: At the presentation ceremony for the Music 2000 Prize offered by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, and Concert FM Radio, my overture ‘Hikurangi Sunrise’ received the ‘Audience Award’, having been voted the best of the five finalists by a large majority of radio listeners and concert audiences throughout New Zealand. Since then it has received numerous broadcasts and further performances are planned in the UK.
